The Natural Pools of Aguas Verdes are located on the west coast of Fuerteventura, within the municipality of Betancuria. This spot is known for its wild landscape and a series of volcanic rock formations that, at low tide, create saltwater pools with a characteristic emerald color.
The contrast between the dark color of the rocks and the intense green of the water is spectacular. Unlike other beaches, these pools are pristine and lack walkways or stairs for easy access, so it is recommended to wear appropriate footwear for walking on the rocks. Swimming is safe as the pools are protected from the strong Atlantic waves, and it is a perfect place for snorkeling and observing marine life, such as crabs and small starfish.
